Project Info - BURIAL GROUNDS
The main idea of the project has been to gently understand the situation implied by the program and to relate to nature by creating a dialogue between the visitors and the distant landscape. Elements acts as a connection between heaven and earth, the base and roof are designed with a smooth formwork surface. We used materials that link the building to the cemetery. The warm, natural character of the granulated concrete façades stretch between them and gives the crematorium a more sculptural character and the new dimensions and proportions create a dense and intimate atmosphere and a welcoming dimension.
